KBM Drums was founded in 2013 and is situated in beautiful Chilliwack, British Columbia, CANADA. KBM was formed with encouragement from my wife, at the time, as a way to deal with the pressure and stress as a police officer. Yes, I was a “cop” for twenty years!! Love me or hate me for it…. I don’t really care. lol I was a long haired 80s metal drummer, before becoming a police officer, believe it or not. May even be some photos out there? Thank goodness there was no internet back then though ….or they likely would have never let me join the police force.
Needless to say, I put my heart and soul into every KBM snare drum I create. They are not just a drum. They represent my artistic expression, culminating from a life of experience both good and bad. They provide an outlet to feel good about oneself, while passing on the joy of the drum to a true musical artist. You will not see me listing drums for sale on this site. I make them when I am inspired to and provide them to those who inspire.
Every drum is hand made and contains the patent-pending KBM Drums Sound In-forcement Ring (SIR). The drums utilize the Dunnett George Way 7-position snare throws, Canopus Baseball Bat internal muffler(Canadian flag felt of course) and a unique .300calibre spent rifle shell air vent. Look through the air vent and you will see the maple leaf and date of manufacturing. I’m proud to be a Canadian, but more proud to be a Canadian Drummer.
